The 2020 home buying season is now. Spring’s summer market is strong in San Francisco. The graphs indicated a rise in real estate activity for condo residences in San Francisco. ⁣
⁣
There are three reasons why activity is picking up, according to the California Association of Realtors⁣
⁣
1️⃣ One of 4 home buyers that had plans to buy at one point, now want to speed up their move a a direct result of the pandemic.⁣
⁣
2️⃣ Mortgage rates hit a new low of 2.88 percent the week ending on August 6 and now mortgage applications are up 22 percent than they were a year ago.⁣
⁣
3️⃣ As San Francisco Sellers move to the East Bay and Marin, renters and first time home buyers see the surge in inventory as an opportunity to buy in the city.⁣
⁣
Even with robust buyer demand, listings are still down 6.8 percent last week. That sellers remain cautious suggests recovery may be slower than hoped for.⁣
