Mission Bay: San Francisco’s Newest Neighborhood

Mission Bay: San Francisco’s Newest Neighborhood

A Laidback Community By the Water

Mission Bay Condos, Green Open Space and San Francisco’s Best Sports Teams

While Mission Bay might not look like a classic San Francisco neighborhood, this contemporary area is home to professional sport teams, cutting edge medical facilities and gourmet restaurants. A prominent residential community is also taking shape, with new condos in Mission Bay for sale at Arden, Madrone, and Radiance. These newer developments offer wider home-like floor plans, sprawling grounds and more outdoor amenities than the highrises in South Beach and Downtown.  Mission Bay, San Francisco’s newest neighborhood, sits right on the Bay adjacent to South Beach and south of Downtown San Francisco and SoMa.

The Warriors and The Giants of Mission Bay

The San Francisco Giants have made this waterfront neighborhood their home with AT&T Park right along the Bay. Along followed great restaurants and bars for pre- and post- game dining which brings the vibrancy of city living to this laidback community. The Chase Arena, scheduled to be completed in 2019, is a much anticipated development in the immediate area and will be the new home to the Golden State Warriors. The new UCSF Medical Center is another major establishment in Mission Bay and is considered one of the best state-of-the-art medical facilities in the country that continues to expand. It is not doubt that Mission Bay is emerging as a upscale, yet casual destination for both visitors and residents alike.

Mission Creek Park and Green Space

Mission Bay is also just as green and accessible like any other neighborhood in San Francisco. The Mission Bay Park System links several green spaces together by a series of trails that lead to grassy knolls, dog play areas, tennis courts and beach volleyball courts.  Mission Creek is a serene waterfront breezeway perfect for cycling and jogging. The Esplanade is another great walkway that leads to AT&T Park and an amphitheater can host small events.  Plus, scheduled for operation in 2019,  a new subway line will connect this part of the city to Chinatown with stops in Downtown and SoMa. Mission Bay spans from Townsend Street to 7th Street on the south side of the city with direct access to the 280 on ramp and CalTrain near by. It is an easy commute to the peninsula while still being able to call San Francisco home.

Neighborhoods adjacent to Mission Bay are popular SoMa District, South Beach, Downtown and Yerba Buena, all of which are walking distance and provide more excellent options for entertainment, dining and city living. Live in Mission Bay, San Francisco’s newest neighborhood!
